Thanks for your continued support.  Since the recent update I really like the changes you’ve implemented.  One issue we’re having is this error, “The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.” when we trying to export only one line of data from our WMS.  Although rare, they’ve found a work around by managing the end-of-day process.

I’m creating the filename and directory during the export soI’m assuming it sets that after the first record has run.

Hi JD,

I guess you´re using the .NET Script Heater to set the file name of the WRITE TextFile Adapter ? This way is very old and not more recommended to doing this.

A more elegant way is to use FlowHeater Parameter instead of the script. You can use Parameter directly as part of the file name.

e.g.  $FILENAME$.csv

Here you´ll find a short example how to set dynamically the WRITE File name by using FlowHeater Parameter: How to set the write TextFile Adapter file name

Best wishes
Robert Stark

It does answer my question. I was not using the .NET Script Heater but I was using the Append Heater between the folder path and $FileName$ parameter with a / separator creating the $DIR$ parameter.  I removed the Append Heater and added this, $DIR$/$FileName$, to the Filename on the Write side and it works perfectly.

As always, thanks for your help Robert
